Twitch may lag during Steam downloads because both platforms require a significant amount of bandwidth to operate smoothly. When Steam is downloading a game or update, it can consume a large portion of the available bandwidth, causing other applications like Twitch to experience lag or buffering. This is especially true if the internet connection has limited bandwidth. To reduce lag during Steam downloads, users can try limiting the download speed in Steam settings or scheduling downloads for times when they are not actively using Twitch or other bandwidth-intensive applications. **

Data sharing on Twitch is primarily done through the platform's API, which allows developers to access and share data such as user information, stream metadata, and chat interactions. Twitch also provides tools and resources for developers to create and integrate their own data sharing features, such as custom overlays and extensions. Additionally, Twitch has specific guidelines and policies in place to ensure that data sharing is done in a secure and responsible manner, protecting the privacy and rights of users. **

It appears to be a security vulnerability rather than just a simple Twitch problem. The fact that it allowed unauthorized access to sensitive user data such as source code and user payout information indicates a serious security issue. Twitch has acknowledged the breach and is investigating the incident to determine the extent of the impact and address any vulnerabilities in their system. **

Twitch pre-roll ads are still present despite Twitch Prime because Twitch needs to generate revenue from advertising in addition to subscription fees. While Twitch Prime offers an ad-free viewing experience for subscribers, not all viewers are Twitch Prime members. By showing pre-roll ads to non-subscribers, Twitch can continue to generate income from a wider audience. Additionally, pre-roll ads can be a way for Twitch to promote new content or products to viewers, even those who have Twitch Prime. **
